Ingredients

  • Maida/Refined flour - 1 Cup
  • Fresh Curd - 2 Tablespoon
  • Oil or Melted Buttter - 2 Tablespoon or more
  • Milk - 1 Cup or more
  • Baking Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Baking soda - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 Teaspoon or as per taste
  • Onion - 2 Tablespoon chopped
  • Tomato - 2 Tablespoon chopped
  • Cilantro or Coriander - 1 Tablespoon
  • Green chilli - 1 chopped
  • Lemon Juice - 1/2 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add refined flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt. Mix well together.
  2. Then add curd, lemon juice, chopped onion, tomato, green chilli, cilantro. Mix well.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to it. Then add milk little by little to make batter. The batter should be of flowing consistency.
  4. Meanwhile heat a waffle maker or a dosa pan. If you are using the waflle maker then preheat it for 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Grease the waffle maker with butter.
  6. Pour the batter in the waffle maker. Then close the lid. Cook it for 3 to 4 minutes or until it turns light brown in colour.
  7. If you are using dosa pan then grease it with butter. Then pour the batter and sprinkle some oil drops. Cover it with a lid and cook on a medium flame. Once cooked from one side flip it and cook from another side.
  8. Once done, take it out on a serving plate,
  9. Spread some butter on the top.
  10. Yummy 'Waffle With Indian Twist' is ready to be served with ketchup or chutney.
  11. Note: To make it healthy you can use whole wheat flour. Also, you can make this waffle in the sandwich maker by following same method.
