Ingredients

  • Whole wheat flour/ gehun ka atta - 2 bowls
  • Salt/ namak - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sugar/ cheeni - a pinch
  • Ajwain/ carom seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Milk/ doodh - 1 bowl
  • Oil/ tel for frying puri and 1 tablespoon for moin

Instructions

  1. Add salt, ajwain and sugar to the whole wheat flour. Add oil and mix well. Make a dough by adding milk to it.
  2. The dough needs to be harder than the normal. Rest the above dough for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat enough oil in a kadhai on medium flame and make medium size pooris out of the dough.
  4. Fry them on high flame and press them while frying so as to make them fluffy.
  5. Transfer these puris to a tissue paper to soak excess oil.
  6. Yummy 'Travel Special Fluffy Poori' is ready and can be served with spicy curry!
  7. NOTE - These puris can be used for 4-5 days. Since the dough is made using milk, it will not spoil easily. Hence, they are very useful for travelling.
