Ingredients

  • Boiled Rice: 2 cups
  • Chopped Onion: 1 cup
  • Peanuts: 3/4 cup
  • Vegetable Oil: 2 tablespoon
  • Chopped Green Chili : 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon Juice: 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Spices as per taste:Turmeric Powder,Red Chili Powder, Garam Masala
  • For tempering/Tadka : Mustard Seeds, Asafoetida
  • Salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan,add peanuts and roast them for 2-3 minutes till they start turning brown. Now take them out in a separate bowl.
  2. Now do the tempering by adding mustard seeds, green chili and asafoetida in the same pan. Add chopped onions and saute them.
  3. Add boiled rice, and spices to the pan. Mix them properly.
  4. Add the roasted peanuts, lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves to the rice. Mix them well.
  5. Serve the yummylicious and jhatpat ONION PEANUTS RICE to your family and win everyone’s heart !!
