Ingredients

  • Pumpkin/ kaddoo - 150 grams
  • Paneer - 100 grams
  • Maida/ all purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Sugar/ cheeni - 2 bowls
  • Cardamom/ elaichi powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped dry fruits - 2 tablespoons
  • Ghee - 4 tablespoons/ or quantity as required for frying

Instructions

  1. Firstly peel and grate the pumpkin. Then grate the paneer.
  2. Now take heavy bottom vessel and put 2 cups of water and sugar for making sugar syrup.
  3. Put it on gas and make syrup with one string consistency.
  4. Take a bowl and mix grated pumpkin, paneer, maida and cardamom powder and mix it nicely to make a soft dough.
  5. Then make ping pong size balls from this mixture and in every ball fill some dry fruits and keep aside.
  6. Heat enough ghee in a kadhai and then deep fry all the balls till golden in colour. Put all the balls in sugar syrup for 1 hour.
  7. Garnish with some chopped dry fruits.
  8. Tasty 'Pumpkin Gulabjamun' is ready to be served!
