Paneer Pakode In Palak Gravy

Ingredients

Palak - 500 grams
Paneer - 200 grams
Finely chopped onion - 1 big
Finely chopped garlic - 6 cloves
Finely chopped ginger - 1 inch
Salt - as per taste
Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
Paneer masala - 1 teaspoon
Oil - 2 tablespoons
Ghee - 1 tablespoon
Jeera - 1 teaspoon
Hing - 1/4 teaspoon
Bay leaf - 1
Whole red chilli - 1
Green chillies - 2
Garam masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

Grate the paneer and add salt, jeera, paneer masala, red chilli powder and chopped onions and mix well.
Divide the paneer mixture into balls and keep aside.
Blanch the palak and blend it into a paste along with green chillies.
Heat an appe pan. Add few drops of oil and cook the paneer balls on both sides until golden brown. Keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan and add whole red chilli, bay leaf and hing.
Add the chopped onions, garlic and ginger.
After the onions turn golden brown add red chilli powder.
Add the spinach puree, salt and cook till raw smell of spinach goes away.
Add garam masala and ghee and simmer for a few minutes. Add the paneer pakoras and switch off the gas.
Serve paneer pakode in palak gravy with chapattis or rice.
