Ingredients

  • Wheat flour/ atta - 1 bowl
  • Mawa/ khoya - 1 cup
  • Powder sugar/ cheeni - 1 cup
  • Cardamom/ elaichi powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Ghee - 4 tablespoons
  • Oil/ tel for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Knead a medium tight dough with wheat flour and ghee. Then dry roast mawa.
  2. After it comes to room temperature, add sugar and cardamom powder and mix well and keep aside.
  3. Now take puri size dough and flatten a bit. Put mawa mixture on it and close. Then with the help of palm make Thekua (size as seen in the pic). Heat oil in a pan and deep fry all the prepared thekuas.
  4. Delicious and loving sweet 'Mawa Stuffed Thekua' is ready to be served.
