Ingredients

  • Maida - 1 cup
  • Khoya/mava - 50 grams
  • Sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Cardamom - pinch
  • FOR RABRI -
  • Milk - 1/2 litre
  • Milkmaid - 2 tablespoons
  • Kesar - pinch
  • Milk - 2 tablespoons
  • FOR GARNISHING -
  • Chopped almonds - 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped almonds - 1 tablespoon
  • Pumpkin seeds - 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. GULAB JAMUN - Grind the khoya and add in maida then make a dough with the help of milk.
  2. Meanwhile in a pan, add 1 bowl water, sugar, cardamom and make sugar syrup. Make small balls with the dough.
  3. Now heat oil in a kadhai and deep fry all the balls and put into sugar syrup for at least an hour. Gulab jamun is ready.
  4. RABRI - Take milk and boil it and on a low flame, Stir continuously. Meanwhile soak kesar in 2 tablespoons milk.
  5. When milk is reduced, add milkmaid and kesar. When rabri becomes thick, switch off the flame. Rabri is ready.
  6. ASSEMBLING - Take a plate and put rabri on it. Place gulab jamun and garnish with almonds and pumpkin seeds.
  7. Gulab jamun with rabri is ready to be served.
