Gobi Paratha

Ingredients

Wheat flour/atta - 200 grams
Cabbage (grated) - 150 grams or 1 small cup
Salt as per taste
Red chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Cumin/jeera - 1/2 teaspoon
Heeng - 1 pinch
Green chilli - 1 , small and finely chopped (optional)
Coriander leaves/dhaniya patti - finely chopped (optional)
Ghee/oil - 1/2 teaspoon + 1 tablespoon

Instructions

Knead the wheat flour/atta into a soft, smooth dough as you make for normal roti.
Wash and grate cabbage. Wash, pat dry and then finely chop green chillies and coriander leaves.
In a bowl, mix grated cabbage, coriander leaves, chillies, salt, red chilli powder, jeera, heeng and half teaspoon oil to it and mix properly.
Take a ball of wheat dough and roll it. Apply ghee/oil. Take little cabbage masala and spread on it. Cover it properly and stuff the mixture sealing the ball properly.
Roll this ball smoothly into paratha using the rolling pin.
Heat tawa. Place the paratha and apply some ghee/oil on one side, flip it and press it using the kitchen towel. Repeat the same process until the paratha is fully cooked. Serve it hot.
Serve hot gobi paratha with pickle, chutney, butter or curd as per taste.
