Chole Tikki Chaat – Indian Street Food!

“Chole tikki chaat” is a famous North Indian street food that consists of chole curry gravy, fried aloo tikkis and a good combination of salt and spices in it. This recipe can be prepared at home too. It won’t take much time if you already have some leftover chole gravy at your home. So, let’s begin with the details of the recipe.

Ingredients

  • Leftover chole gravy - 1 cup
  • Chopped green chilies and onions - 1 each
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • Bareek sev for chaat - 1/2 cup
  • Curd - 1/2 cup
  • Boiled Potatoes - 4
  • Oil to fry patties
  • Green coriander chutney - 1/2 cup
  • Tamarind chutney - 1/2 cup
  • Salt as required and spices - chaat masala and red chili powder
  • Arharot/ corn flour powder - 1.5 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 4 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Mash boiled potatoes in a bowl and add above listed spices to it.
  2. Add lemon juice, green chilies and coriander leaves, arharot and salt to it. Make medium sized patties/ tikkis from them.
  3. Heat oil on medium flame and shallow fry the patties on it for 5 minutes from both sides till they become crispy.
  4. Put some chole gravy on a plate.
  5. Pour green and tamarind chutney over it.
  6. Place 1-2 aloo tikki on it and pour curd over it.
  7. Sprinkle some chopped onions and bareek sev over it.
  8. Note : Recipe for green chutney, tamarind chutney, and chole gravy curry is mentioned above for your reference.
