Leftover Rice Parathas – Recycled Deliciousness!

This paratha uses very few ingredients but the best thing about this recipe is the fact that it uses leftover rice from your previous meal. Just like a stuffed paratha but with a delicious difference!

Ingredients

  • Leftover boiled rice - 1 bowl
  • Onions - 2 (medium size)
  • Green chillies - 2 or as per taste
  • Red chilli powder (as per taste) or 1/2 tablespoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tablespoon
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • Oil for making paratha
  • Wheat flour - 2 bowls

Instructions

  1. Knead flour with appropriate amount of water and make a soft dough.
  2. Take rice in a bowl.
  3. Add onions and green chillies to it.
  4. Add red chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder, salt and coriander leaves to it.
  5. Mix well. The stuffing for the parathas is ready now.
  6. Make 4 balls out of the dough. Roll these balls in paratha shape after filling the stuffing in it.
  7. Heat a non stick tawa and place one rolled paratha on it.
  8. Cook it on medium flame by adding some oil to it.
  9. Shallow fry it till it becomes light brown and crispy.
  10. Yummy Leftover Rice Parathas are ready to serve. Enjoy them with achar, chutney or tea.
