Indo-Chinese Vegetable Chowmein – By Poonam Garg

Indo-Chinese Cuisine is gaining popularity in India and Chowmein made in traditional Indian style is one of the favorite weekends recipes in India households especially with kids.

Ingredients

  • Boiled noodles-1 bowl
  • Chinese vegetables(carrot,cabbage & french beans)-1/2 bowl
  • Julian cut onion & capsicum-1/2 bowl
  • Chopped spring onion-1 n 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chopped ginger-1/2
  • Chopped garlic-1/2
  • 5 Chinese seasoning (ajinomotto, white pepper, salt, red chilly sauce & sauya sauce)
  • Oil-1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Boil noodles in enough water and strain noodles through cold water 2-3 times.Drain water and set them aside.
  2. Add few drops of oil to the noodles to avoid sticking.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and then add ginger+ garlic and saute for 2 minutes
  4. Add onion and stir fry for 20-30 seconds. Now add all other vegetables and stir fry for 2 min.
  5. Now add boiled noodles and add 5 Chinese seasoning and mix well.
  6. Serve the vegetable Chowmein hot.
