Granola Bar is a yummy and healthy homemade snack for all.

Granola Bar is a delicious snack and full of nutrition. This requires oats, jaggery, dry fruits, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, peanuts, sesame seeds, honey. It is a very healthy snack which has calcium, iron, protein, fibre. Kids will love to eat this snack and this is a perfect evening snack for them. This will fulfils all the nutritional requirements of the body. This snack is very easy to prepare and is perfect to satisfy your sweet cravings as well.  So, try it out and let us know how you liked it.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • You can store this snack in an airtight container for 10 to 12 days without refrigeration.
  • If you do not have desiccated coconut then you can use fresh coconut as well. Then store the bar in the refrigerator.
  • Honey is an optional ingredient. You can avoid adding honey if you want.
  • You can prepare the laddoo out of the mixture.

Ingredients

  • Oats - 2 Cup roasted
  • Jaggery - 2 Cup grated
  • Peanuts - 1 Cup roasted
  • Ghee/Clarified butter - 2 Tablespoon + 3 Teaspoon
  • Almonds - a handful
  • Walnut - a handful
  • Cashew - 4 to 5
  • Raisins - a handful
  • Desiccated Coconut - 1/2 Cup
  • Sunflower seeds - 1 Tablespoon
  • Pumpkin seeds - 1 Tablespoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 Cup + for garnishing
  • Honey - 2 Tablespoon
  • Chopped mixed dry fruits - for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Dry roast oats and peanuts. Keep aside.
  2. Dry roast sesame seeds on a medium flame. Once the colour changes, transfer to a plate.
  3. Dry roast cashew, walnut and almonds. Add a teaspoon of ghee and roast it for a minute.
  4. Then add raisins to it. Roast it for few seconds. Then transfer to a plate.
  5. Coarsely grind the roasted oats. Tranfer to a bowl.
  6. Grind peanuts coarsely then transfer to a plate.
  7. Grind sesame seeds coarsely. Then transfer to a bowl.
  8. Now, grind pumpkin and sunflower seeds. Then transfer to a bowl.
  9. Coarsely grind the dry fruits as well. Transfer to a bowl.
  10. Heat a pan and add 2 tablespoon ghee.
  11. Add grated jaggery to it. Melt the jaggery while stirring continuously. Cook it for 2 minutes.
  12. Then add ground oats, peanuts, sesame seeds, dry fruits, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. Mix well.
  13. Then add desiccated coconut. Mix well. Switch off the gas.
  14. Add honey to it. Mix well. Add 2 teaspoon of ghee to it. Mix well.
  15. Grease a pan or mould with a ghee.
  16. Pour the mixture to the pan. Press it with a spoon.
  17. Top it with sesame seeds and sliced almonds. Press it with a spoon.
  18. Cool it for 15 minutes. Then cut into pieces. (You can make the laddoo out the mixture as well)
  19. Yummy 'Granola Bar' is ready to be served.
