Chiroti is a mouthwatering snack prepared during festive occasions like Diwali.
Chiroti is also known as Khaja. This is a famous snack of Karnataka and Maharashtra. Also, it is known as pheni/peni in some parts Telangana state. This is made by layering the refined flour and semolina dough. Then it is fried to make this yummy snack. It is a flaky and crispy snack. You can serve this in two ways that are sweet or savoury. Dust some powdered sugar with cardamom to make sweet dish. Or you can serve it with gunpowder for those who can not eat sweets. This is a very easy 10 minutes recipe. Tips:-
- You can use rice flour instead of corn flour.
- Serve this snack with Mungfali Gunpowder or Coconut Chutney or any type of chutney as a savoury snack.
