Caramel Nut Cake : Delicious and Eggless

The Caramel Nut Cake is an absolutely delicious egg-less cake. This recipe makes a two layer cake with a caramel-nut layer and a dark chocolate sauce layer. It tastes just as good as it sounds. Keep this recipe as an option for your parties and special guests.

Ingredients

  • All purpose flour or maida : 3 Cups
  • Crushed Sugar : 1-1/2 Cups
  • Baking powder : 3/4 teaspoon
  • Baking Soda : 3/4 teaspoon
  • Coco powder : 3 teaspoon
  • A Pinch of salt
  • Olive Oil : 5 tablespoon
  • Milk : 1 Cup
  • Sliced Walnuts/Almonds, whole sugar, vanilla ice-cream(Optional)-As per requirement
  • Dark chocolate : To make chocolate sauce for garnishing.

Instructions

  1. Mix all these ingredients together and prepare the cake batter. Mix till the batter is smooth.
  2. In a pan, grease the bottom with a brush dipped in oil. Pour the batter to the pan.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Place the pan and bake for 30-40 minutes. Once done allow it to cool.
  4. FOR GARNISHING : Boil dark chocolate in double boiler to make the dark chocolate sauce. Take another pan and heat ½ cup of whole sugar for making the caramel. Heat sugar on a medium flame and brown the sugar, now you have your caramel sauce.
  5. Spread the nut-caramel sauce over the nuts which are spread over a flat surface. and let it cool for 10 minutes. Once cooled down crush the nuts into fine granular pieces.
  6. Cut the cake into two equal halves horizontally. Put ice cream or caramel sauce on one slice of the cake then place the other slice on top of it. Spread dark chocolate sauce on the top of this slice and again put another layer of nut-caramel sauce and press it firmly and delicately.
  7. For the cake to set, freeze it for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Yummy chocolate Caramel Nut Cake is ready !
