Ingredients

  • Whole wheat flour/ gehun ka atta - 1 cup
  • Crushed sugar/ cheeni - 1/2 cup
  • Butter/ makkhan - 1/2 cup
  • Milk powder - 1/4 cup
  • Cardamom/ elaichi powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Baking soda - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Whole sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Butter paper - 1 sheet

Instructions

  1. DOUGH - Beat butter and sugar together till it gets fluffy. Then add flour, cardamom powder, baking soda and baking powder to it and mix well. Make a dough of a medium consistency by adding milk slowly to it. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Sprinkle some dry flour on the kitchen slab and roll a big circle of the dough. Use Rolling pin for the same.
  3. Now cut round shaped cookies/biscuits with a round cutter and set them aside.
  4. Meanwhile, pre-heat the oven to 170 degrees C. and sprinkle some whole sugar over the round biscuits.
  5. Bake the biscuits in the oven for 15-18 minutes till they turn golden brown.
  6. Take them out from oven once they are done and allow them to cool down.
  7. Yummy wheat flour biscuits are ready. You may store them in an air tight container for 15-20 days.
