Vegetable cheese pasta is an Italian dish that is popular worldwide.

Vegetable cheese pasta is prepared using vegetables of your choice mixed with pasta and topped with cheese. This yummy dish is relished by the kids and is a good way to get them to eat the veggies. Vegetable cheese pasta is a favourite during children parties and makes a good snack for the lunch box too.

Ingredients

  • Pasta - 100 grams
  • Oil - 2 teaspoons
  • Green chilli - 1 (finely chopped)
  • Garlic - 3 cloves (finely chopped)
  • Onion - 1 medium sized (finely chopped)
  • Carrot - 1 medium sized (finely chopped)
  • Capsicum - 1/2 medium sized (finely chopped)
  • Tomato - 1 medium sized (finely chopped)
  • Tomato sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chilli sauce - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Soya sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Maggi cheese pasta masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chilli flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cheese cube - 1/2 cube
  • Water - as required

Instructions

  1. In a pan, add water and 1 teaspoon oil. Add pasta and boil it till it looks transparent. Sieve it and wash with cold water.
  2. Take a pan, add oil then add garlic and green chilli. Saute for a minute, then add onion and fry for a minute.
  3. Add carrot, tomatoes and fry till it soft. Add capsicum and fry for 2 minutes.
  4. Add tomato sauce, red chilli sauce, soya sauce and saute.
  5. Add pasta masala and fry for 1 minute. Add salt, black pepper powder and fry for 1 minute. Add 1 teaspoon water.
  6. Add boiled pasta and cook for 5 minutes. Grate cheese and mix it.
  7. Vegetable cheese pasta is ready to serve. Garnish with cheese and chilli flakes.
