Stuffed Sabudana Cutlets – Fasting Special
Ingredients
- Soaked sabudana/ sago seeds - 1 and 1/2 cup
- Potatoes/ aloo - 2 (boiled)
- Green chilies/ hari mirch - 1
- Pink salt/ sendha namak to taste
- Black pepper/ kali mirch powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Oil/ tel for deep fry
- FOR STUFFING - Boiled potatoes/ aloo - 2
- Oil/ tel - 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper/ kali mirch powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Green chilies/ hari mirch - 1
- Chopped carrots and capsicums mixed - 2 tablespoons
- Pink salt/ sendha namak to taste
- Chopped coriander/ dhaniya patta - a handful
Instructions
- Drain water from the overnight soaked sabudana.
- Mix salt, pepper, boiled potatoes, green chili and sabudana.
- Stuffing - Heat oil in a pan. Add black pepper, chopped green chilies, boiled and mashed potatoes and chopped mixed veggies. Saute for 1-2 minutes. Add salt and coriander leaves now.
- Divide the dough to 8 equal parts and make flat balls from it.
- Stuff the above mix in cutlets and give cylindrical shape.
- Heat enough oil in a pan for deep fry cutlets.
- Fry them till they become cispy and light brown in colour.
- Delicious 'Stuffed Sabudana Cutlets' are ready to be served!!
