Stuffed Mirch With Besan is a yummy side for lunch and dinner. The green chillies stuffed with besan/gram flour and spices then cooked. It is very appetizing and spicy dish. This can be served with roti/paratha in your meals. It is a quick and easy recipe to prepare. This is a treat for spicy food lovers. This can be a good travel meal too. Ingredients

  • Green chillies (thick) - 200 Gram
  • Gram flour/ besan - 1 Cup
  • Salt - 1 Teaspoon or as per taste
  • Red chilli/ lal mirch powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Coriander/ dhaniya powder - 1 Tablespoon
  • Dry Mango/ amchur powder - 1 Tablespoon
  • Crushed Fennel seed - 1 Tablespoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 Tablespoon
  • Peanuts - 1/2 Cup crushed coarsely
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Asafoetida/ heeng - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Oil/ tel - 3 Tablespoon
  • Coriander leaves - a handful
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Wash and wipe the green chillies. Cut them from the middle and remove the seeds from them.
  2. Take a bowl and add besan, crushed peanuts, crushed fennel seeds, amchur powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric, red chilli powder, salt, 2 tablespoons of oil. Mix all the ingredients together. Stuff this mixture in green chillies.
  3. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan on a medium flame and add asafoetida and mustard seeds to it. Let the seeds crackle.
  4. Place the masala mirch one by one into hot oil and lightly mix them with a spoon.
  5. Cover the lid of the pan for next 5-7 minutes and then put off the gas.
  6. Yummy 'Stuffed Mirch With Besan' is ready to be served with paratha.
