Sooji Ka Halwa – Instant and Delicious Dessert!

Ingredients

  • Sooji/semolina - 1 bowl
  • Ghee/clarified butter - 1 bowl
  • Sugar - 1/2 bowl
  • Boiling Water - 3 bowls
  • Grinded Cashew Nuts / Almonds/ Pistachio - As per taste

Instructions

  1. Dry roast sooji/semolina for 5 to 7 minutes on a low flame wile stirring continuously. Keep aside.
  2. Heat a pan and add ghee.
  3. Add roasted sooji and stir continuously on low medium flame till it turns brownish. Sooji will now stop sticking to the pan.
  4. Boil water seperately and add boiling water to this mixture. Stir well until it stops sticking to the pan.
  5. Add sugar and mix it properly. Now add grinded dry fruits and mix them well.
  6. Garnish with whole dry fruits and delicious and instant Sooji Halwa is ready.

    Good recipe! I would add half tsp of cardamom powder and garnish also toasted coconut sweet flakes..you can buy at Walmart in the isles across…from the cut up packaged fruits.I have also used dry cut up cherries cranberries,yellow raisins,pineapple dried pieces. You can add one smallest can of crushed pineapple…gives a tart,sweet flavor…A lot of te tires. Thanks again for sharing and stay blessed.
