Ingredients

  • Bottle gourd / Lauki - 1.2 piece
  • Sugar - 1/2 bowl
  • Ghee - 1 big spoon
  • Gulkand - 1 bowl
  • Milk - 1 glass
  • Singhada Flour : 2 big spoons

Instructions

  1. Grate bottle gourd and boil it.
  2. Add ghee in a kadhai.
  3. When it becomes hot, add singhada flour in it.
  4. Cook it in slow flame till it becomes light brown.
  5. Then add bottle gourd ( lauki) and mix it. Let it cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Then add sugar and milk in it. Cook it till it becomes thick.
  7. When it cools down, then mix it with your hands for 5 minutes. Make a dough of it.
  8. Make small round balls and set them into modal moulds.
  9. Close it, spread all the dough in modak mould with the help of fingers. make small hole in it.
  10. Then fill gulkand in it, then close it with dough. Press for a second and then open it.
  11. Delicious singhada gulkand modak are ready to eat.
