Samak Pulav – Healthy Tiffin Recipe
Ingredients
- Samak rice/ vrat ki chawal - 1 cup
- Cumin/ jeera - 1/2 teaspoon
- Green chili - 1 chopped
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon chopped
- Peanuts - 2 teaspoon
- Cashews - 6-7
- Almonds - 6-7
- Tomato - 1 chopped
- Paneer - 2 teaspoon chopped
- Turmeric powder/haldi - 1/2 tablespoon
- Ghee - 2 teaspoon
- Water - 2 cups
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves to garnish
Instructions
- Heat ghee into a pan, add jeera. Once it crackles, add green chili and ginger.
- Saute the mixture. Add peanuts and roast them .
- Add paneer and samak rice. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add cashews and almonds and mix well. Then mix tomatoes.
- Add water, salt and haldi . When it starts boiling, cover with lid and cook only for 3-4 minutes.
- "Samak Pulav" is ready. Garnish with coriander leaves. You can serve it in fasting too.
