Who doesn’t like to have cookies with tea or coffee…but during fasting, we cannot have normal cookies…So therefore I came up with these unique cookies to ensure that we can enjoy team time with our family!

Ingredients

  • Samak ( Barnyard Millet) ka Flour: 1 cup
  • Rajgiri (Amarnath) Flour: 1/2 cup
  • Singara (Chestnut) Flour: 1/2 cup
  • Ghee or butter: 4 tablespoons
  • Crushed sugar: 3/4 cup
  • Raisins: 10-12
  • Coconut powder: 1/2 cup
  • Milk: 3-4 cup
  • Cardamom powder: 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Mix ghee and sugar together thoroughly with a spoon so that the mixture becomes a little fluffy.
  2. Add coconut powder and mix it.
  3. Add all flour, cardamom powder and milk and make a dough from it. Keep it aside for 10 minutes covering the dough with muslin cloth.
  4. In the meantime, preheat oven at 180 degree for 10 minutes.
  5. Make circular balls from the dough and press each round ball (cookies) in the center then put raisins in the center.
  6. Then bake the cookies for 15-20 minutes in the oven.
  7. Jhatpat sahagari or Navratri Special Superfood cookies are ready to eat ..Serve them hot with a garma garam chai as evening snacks!!
