Ingredients

Oil - 2 tablespoon
Black pepper corn - 4-5
Bay leaves - 1-2
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tablespoon
Kashmiri Red Dry Chilies - 2
Clove - 1
Chopped Onions - 1
Chopped Tomatoes - 1
Chopped Green Chilies - 2
Ginger Garlic paste - 1/2 tablespoon
Kasoori Methi dry - 1/2 tablespoon
Asafoetida/Hing - A pinch
Salt to taste
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tablespoon
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tablespoon
Garam Masala - 1/2 tablespoon
Coriander Powder - 1/2 tablespoon
Water, required for making gravy - 1/2 Cup
Sour Curd - 1/2 Cup
Ratlami Methi Sev - 1 Cup (you can take any variety of spicy methi sev namkeen from the grocery store)

Instructions

Heat oil in a pan. Add hing and cumin seeds to it .
After few seconds, add ginger garlic paste, bay leaves, cloves, black pepper seeds & kashmiri red chilies.
Saute the mixture for 10 seconds and add chopped onions and green chilies and saute it for another 2 minutes.
Once onions are done, add all dry spices and salt (coriander, red chilli, turmeric and garam masala powder). Cook this mixture for a minute.
Add chopped tomatoes now and cook them covered on medium flame for 5 minutes. Now add kasoori methi powder and mix it well.
Add sour curd and water and mix well. Cook the mixture for another few minutes till it comes to boil.
Switch off the flame. Your hot and spicy gravy for the curry is ready.
Add Ratlami Methi Sev while serving the curry. Enjoy it in your dinner with Naan, Chapati or Rice.
Note: Ratlami Namkeen needs to be added while serving only and not before so as not to make the curry soggy.
