Ingredients

  • 1 cup Gram Flour
  • Spices: Salt, Red chili powder, Cumins seeds, Turmeric, Sauf, Asafoetida (pinch), Crushed black pepper and Whole dhaniya ( 1/4 tsp), Dhaniya powder, Dry mango powder
  • Chopped Green Chili, Ginger and Green Coriander ( 1 tsp each)
  • 2- 4 bay leaf and Cloves - 2
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Add besan, salt, sauf, asafoetida, red chili powder and oil. Mix all these well and make soft dough. Now make long rolls out of it and boil in water for 7 - 10 min until they are cooked.
  2. Remove from water and cut them in round pieces. Keep this water aside in a bowl.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, asafoetida, grated ginger, chili, coriander powder, turmeric, whole dhaniya, whole coriander powder, dry mango powder and little water. Add gatte ( long cut round pieces) pieces and adjust gravy with the water kept aside.Garnish with grated green coriander.
  4. Serve Gatte ki sabzi hot with garma garam chapati or roti!
