Baked Rajasthani Baati

Ingredients

Wheat flour - 1 Cup
Ajwain - 1/2 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Oil - 1/2 cup
Water - 1/2 cup (add more if required)
Ghee - 1/2 to 3/4th cup

Instructions

Take wheat flour in a bowl and add salt and ajwain to it. Add oil and mix this well.
Now make a hard dough by adding water to it. Add some more water if required. Bati dough is always a harder one, and is not like a regular chapati dough.
Set this dough aside for 5 minutes covered with a plate.
Now make medium sized round balls from this dough.
Preheat the oven at 180 degrees.
Place the batties on the oven tray and bake it for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, check the baatis and turn them for the other side to cook .
Check out the baatis after 10 minutes and take them out once they are baked well. Baatis will have crackes on the outer surface once they are done.
Now pour melted ghee on batties ! Tasty baked Rajasthani Baatis are ready. Serve them with hot dal, chopped onions, and lemon juice for lunch.
