Malai Rajma Masala – Zeera Pulao
Ingredients
- 2 cup rajma
- 2 cup rice
- 2 onion finely chopped
- 2-3 tomato finely chopped
- 2-3 green chillies finely chopped
- 2 tablespoon cumin seeds
- 1-2 tej paata
- 1 badi elaichi
- salt to taste
- 2 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 1 tablespoon black pepper powder
- 1 tablespoon red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 cup fresh cream
- 1/2 cup curd
- oil
Instructions
- Soak rajma for at least 4-5 hours.
- Soak rice for about 20-25 minutes.
- Pressure cook rajma for about 15- 20 minutes until they get tender.
- In frying pan, add oil.
- Add cumin seeds, when it splutters then add tej paata, badi elaichi.
- Stir fry it and then add onion.
- Saute onions till get become translucent till they start to leave oil.
- Then add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies.
- Saute it for 5 minutes.
- Then add chopped tomatoes, salt, garam masala, black pepper powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder and little water.
- Mix it well, let it cook till tomatoes gets tender.
- Once tomato masala starts to leave edges of pan, then add boiled rajma.
- Mix it and then add curd and let it cook for other 5-6 minutes.
- When it get 2-3 boils, then add fresh cream and mix and turn off flame.
- Meanwhile, in kadai, add oil and zeera.
- When zeera splutters and then add soaked rice.
- Add salt and cook rice for about 15-20 minutes.
- When all water gets soaked from rice , then turn off flame of rice.
- Serve Malai Rajma Masala with Zeera Pulao and salad and green chilly.
