Ingredients

  • Potato - 2
  • Gram flour - 2 tablespoons
  • All purpose flour - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Red chilli powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green chilli - 1/2spoon (finely chopped)
  • Onion - 1/4cup (finely chopped)
  • Ghee - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - as required

Instructions

  1. Peel off the potatoes then grate them. In a bowl add the grated potatoes, water and salt and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  2. After 15 minutes squeeze out all the water from the grated potatoes.
  3. In another bowl add gram flour, all-purpose flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice, salt and water. Whisk all the ingredients together to make a thick batter.
  4. To the above add onions, green chilli and grated potatoes.
  5. In a pan heat some ghee and pour the batter. Cook on both sides till the pancakes turn golden brown.
  6. Potatoes pancakes are ready to be served with tomato sauce.
