Ingredients

  • For White Gravy:-
  • Butter - 1 Tablespoon
  • Maida/refined flour - 1 Tablespoon
  • Milk - 1 Cup
  • For Red Gravy:-
  • Olive oil - 2 Tablespoon
  • Onion - 1 finely chopped
  • Tomato puree - of 4 to 5 tomatoes boiled and pureed
  • Tri colour bell peppers - 1 Cup diced
  • Spring onion - 1 chopped
  • Other ingredients-
  • Penne Pasta - 2 Cups boiled
  • Salt - to taste
  • Tomato ketchup - 1 Tablespoon
  • Chilli flakes - 1 Teaspoon
  • Parsley - 1 Teaspoon
  • Oregano - 1 Teaspoon
  • Water - 1/2 cup or use as required

Instructions

  1. In a pan, add butter then add maida. Whisk till it changes colour.
  2. Add milk and whisk continuously so that no lumps are formed.
  3. Cook until it turns thick. Set aside
  4. Take a pan, add olive oil add onions. Cook the onions until translucent on a medium flame.
  5. Add spring onions, tricolour capsicum and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add tomato puree and cook until the mixture becomes thick. Then add white sauce and little water. Mix well.
  7. Then add tomato ketchup. Mix well. Add cooked pasta, salt, chilli flakes, parsley and oregano. Cook for a minute while mixing.
  8. Add water to adjust consistency. Cook for 2 minutes. Then switch off the gas.
  9. Yummy 'Penne Pasta In Pink Gravy' is ready to be served. Serve hot.
