Onion Parathas – Easy and Delicious!

Want to give a twist to the regular old boring paratha without going out of the way? Add onions to it!

The Onion Paratha can be made easily as it does not require much prep work. An easy breakfast option that the whole family will enjoy!

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour - 2 cups
  • Onion (chopped) - 1 big
  • Garlic (chopped) - 1/2 cloves
  • Ginger powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt as per taste
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tablespoon
  • Red chilli powder - as per taste
  • Coriander leaves - a few sprigs chopped finely
  • Asafoetida (Hing) - 2 pinches
  • Oil or ghee for frying
  • Water
  • Jeera - 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together and make a dough of normal consistency.
  2. Divide the dough into equal parts.
  3. Roll out rotis of desired shape.
  4. Cook on hot tava.
  5. Smear both sides with ghee or oil and cook till done.
  6. Serve your delicious Onion Parathas with curd or pickle or chutney.
