Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole masoor dal
  • Whole spices - Tej petta , Black pepper , Cloves
  • Spices - Cumin Seeds, Turmeric, Asafoetida, Coriander Powder, Salt, Red Chili Powder, Garam Masala
  • Chopped Ginger, Green Chili and Green Coriander
  • Chopped Tomato - 2 pieces
  • Chopped Onion- 1 onion
  • Garlic Cloves - 3 -4 pieces
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Dry Kasuri Methi

Instructions

  1. Soak dal for 10 minutes. Boil Dal with salt, turmeric and whole spices for 10 minutes.
  2. For Tadka: Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds, asafoetida and choppend onion. Saute it for 5 minutes ADD JEERA HING ONIONS SAUTE IT
  3. Add garlic and tomatoes and mix well. Press with the spoon.
  4. Add all the spices and little water along with chooped ginger, green chili , coriander leaves and kasuri methi.
  5. Tadka is ready, now add milk in the dal and boil it. After that, add tadka to the dal and yummy Masoor Dal is ready! Serve with hot chapati!
