Ingredients

  • Gram flour - 1 cup
  • Orange food colour - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ghee - 1 cup
  • Milk - 2 teaspoons
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Water - as required
  • Cardamom powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Almond - 1/4 cup chopped
  • Cashew - 1/4 cup chopped
  • Baking soda - 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl, add gram flour then add water mix it and make a semi-thick batter.
  2. Add food colour mix it then add baking soda mix it well.
  3. Take a pan, put ghee then fry boondi using a perforated spoon, which is usually available in the kitchen.
  4. Take another pan, add sugar then add water mix it well on high flame.
  5. Add kesar and cardamom powder in sugar syrup and cook in on low flame for 5 minutes, then add fried boondi and mix it well, cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. Add milk into the mixture to soften it. Then turn off the flame.
  7. Cool the mixture completely then bind to make laddu from the mixture.
  8. Motichoor laddu is ready to serve. Serve it with a garnish of cashew and almond.
