Mirchi Ke Tipore is one of the traditional and authentic recipes of Rajasthani Cuisine.

Mirchi Ke Tipore is a quick and easy dish. The chillies are tossed with some spices to make this yummy dish. This goes well with paratha, roti, or poori and even served with dal baati churma. Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • If the green chillies are spicy then remove the seeds of the chillies then use.
  • You can add red chilli powder as well if you want.
  • Make sure, to add more coriander powder to enhance it’s taste.
  • You can store it for 4 to 5 days in the refrigerator.

Ingredients

  • Mirchi/ green chili (large and thick) - 1 cup, chopped
  • Mustard oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Mustard seeds/ rai - 1 teaspoon
  • Fennel seeds/ saunf - 2 to 3 teaspoon
  • Hing/ asafoetida - a pinch
  • Turmeric powder - a pinch
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Roasted cumin seeds powder - 2 teaspoons
  • Dry mango powder/ amchur - 2 teaspoons
  • Dhania/ coriander powder - 3 to 4 teaspoons
  • Kashmiri red chili powder - as required (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat mustard oil in a pan.
  2. Add mustard seeds, fennel seeds, hing, and green chili. Saute well for a few seconds.
  3. Add turmeric powder and salt. Mix well. Cover the pan and let it cook on a slow flame for a minute. Do not over cook the green chili.
  4. Add roasted cumin seeds powder, coriander powder, and Kashmiri red chili powder. Saute well.
  5. Now, add amchur powder, saute well, and cover the pan. Let it cook for 1 to 2 minutes on a medium flame.
  6. Jhatpat spicy Mirchi ke Tipore is ready!
