Ingredients

  • Rice/ chawal - 3 cups
  • Urad dal/ white lentils - 1 cup
  • Chopped onions/ pyaz - 1 bowl
  • Chopped chilies/ hari mirch - 1 tablespoon green coriander 1 tbso and hand full
  • Red chili/ mirch powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Curd/ dahi - 1/2 cup
  • Oil/ tel - 2 tablespoons
  • Coriander leaves/ dhaniyapatta - a hand full
  • Salt/ namak - 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Grind dal and rice and then soak it in enough water for 4-5 hours.
  2. Add curd and salt to it. Mix it and leave it for fermentation for 4 hours in a warm place.
  3. Then heat a non stick pan and grease it with 1 tablespoon of oil on medium flame.
  4. Pour 1 full tablespoon of batter on pan making small pancake.
  5. Now add chopped veggies and sprinkle red chili powder on the batter.
  6. Cook well from both the sides by flipping it.
  7. Yummy Mini Rice Uttapam is ready to be served in lunch boxes/ breakfast.
  8. NOTE - You may add 1/2 teaspoon of Eno and make it instantly if you do not have time for keeping it for fermentation.
