Kuttu (Buckwheat) is a plant cultivated for its grain like brown seeds. These seeds are ground to make flour. Though the flour is easily available, it is preferable to buy whole seeds and make the flour at home. This flour is eaten during navratri in India to make vrat special dishes like pakoda, parantha, dahi wada.
It is also called a superfood as it is a good source of manganese and a good source of copper, magnesium, dietary fiber and phosphorus. The protein in buckwheat is a high-quality protein, containing all eight essential amino acids, including lysine.
