Ingredients

  • Mawa - 500 gms
  • Sugar powder (chini) - 200 gms
  • Kesar - (1/4 teaspoon) soaked in lukewarm milk - 1/2 tablespoon
  • Elaichi powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Almond and pistachio slices - 1 teaspoon for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Grate mawa.
  2. Heat a nonstick pan and add mawa and stir until it is softened.
  3. Add sugar and continue frying. Add kesar and stir till mawa becomes thick.
  4. The mixture will start leaving the sides of the pan. Turn off the flame.
  5. Add elaichi powder and mix and let it cool completely.
  6. Make balls and flatten it to make pedas.
  7. Garnish with almond and pistachio slices. Kesar mawa peda is ready.
