Ingredients

  • Milk - 1/2 Kg
  • Sugar - 200 gm
  • Crushed Cardamom Powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 2 tablespoons
  • Sliced pista for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Take milk in a pan and on full flame stir it continuously till it thickens. Ensure that it does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
  2. When 1/4 mixture is remaining, add water in the lemon juice and add in the mixture. After adding, do not stir for 1 minute.
  3. When it starts getting crumbly, add sugar and cardamom powder and mix it.
  4. When it becomes thick in consistency and starts leaving the sides of the pan, switch off the flame. Grease a tin pan and pour the mixture in the tin.
  5. Now with a spoon, press it evenly and make it flat. Now cover the tin with foil paper and keep it in fridge for 10-12 hours.
  6. Now with a knife, loosen the edges of this mixture, slightly warm the tin and invert the tin on a plate.
  7. Now cut the mixture into desired shape pieces and garnish with sliced pistachios. Delicious kalakand is ready.
