Kadha is a traditional home remedy for a sore Throat, Cold and Cough being followed from old time in Indian households.

Kadha: Home Remedy for Cold and Cough is very useful. This requires tulsi leaves, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, black peppercorns. In Rainy and Winter season Sore Throat, Cold and Cough is a common problem. This remedy is from the books of grandma which made with natural ingredients hence a very homely age-old recipe. Ingredients

  • Water - 2 cups
  • Fennel seeds/Saunf - 1 tablespoon
  • Cloves/Laung - 2 nos.
  • Ginger/Adarak(pounded) - 1 teaspoon
  • Black peppercorns/Kali Mirch - 8-10 nos.
  • Cinnamon stick/Dalchini (1 inch) - 2-3 nos.
  • Honey (optional)
  • Tulsi leaves - 4-5 leaves

Instructions

  1. Boil 2 cups water in a pan.
  2. Add cloves/laung to it.
  3. Add fennel seeds/saunf and put the gas on sim.
  4. Add cinnamon sticks/dalchini and pounded ginger/adarak to it.
  5. Crush tulsi leaves and add in the pan. Mix well.
  6. Add pepper corns to it and cook on low flame for 7-8 minutes.
  7. Strain it. Add honey if you want to. Kadha: Home Remedy for Cold and Cough is ready. Preferably it has to be taken just before going to sleep and no water should be taken after taking this before sleeping.
