Kacche Aam Ka Hing Wala Achaar is a delicious pickle from North India.

Tangy and spicy Kacche Aam Ka Hing Wala Achaar with a distinct flavour. It is oil-free and lip-smacking achar that goes well with almost anything. You will love this pickle. Today I had a lot of kaccha aam (raw mango) at my place. As my family loves pickles, decided to try a hing wala achaar recipe with the mangoes. It tasted very good and here is the recipe for you guys to try it out. So, try to make this achar at home and let us know how you liked it.

  • You can grate or chop the raw mango as your choice.
  • Store this pickle in the refrigerator or outside for up to a year.
  • This achar tastes amazing with Onion Parathas, Tandoori Roti, Methi Thepla

Ingredients

  • Raw Mango (Kaccha aam) - 500 Gram
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Hing/Asafoetida - 1 Tablespoon
  • Red Chilli powder - 2 Tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Peel the kaccha aam (raw mango) and grate it. Add salt and keep it aside for 4 hours.
  2. The add hing/asafoetida and red chilli powder and mix well.
  3. Keep it in sunlight for 2 to 4 hours for 2 days. Stir the mango mixture properly and keep it in a jar.
  4. The achaar is ready to be served after 2 days with poori, paratha, khakhra and mathri etc.
  5. Enjoy spicy Kacche Aam Ka Hing Wala Achaar.
