Jolada roti or Jowar roti, or bhakri is common flatbread in North Karnataka and Maharashtra.
Jolada Roti /Jowar Ki Roti is a flatbread made with sorghum flour. It is the staple food of local residents of North Karnataka. Jowar/Sorghum is a high-protein, cholesterol-free and it is the source of essential nutrients like fibre, iron, phosphorus. It is gluten-free too. Making of Jowar roti is different as it does not use a rolling pin(belan). Instead, it is made by beating/patting the dough with palms/hands.
