Ingredients

  • Full Milk - 1/2 Litre
  • Lemon - 1 medium sized
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Water for chashni - 4 cup
  • Saffron strands - 7-8
  • Milk - 2 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Boil the milk and curdel the milk by adding lemon juice in it. Once it is curdled, now take the chenna out by straining the remaining water. Run chenna over normal water and make sure you do not press the chenna too hard. Without pressing, let the water be removed from the chenna.
  2. Then take a pressure cooker, add water and sugar and let it boil fully and well. Once it is boiled fully, add saffron strands and milk in it.
  3. While the water is getting boiled, start kneading the dough from chenna with soft hands. Use your palm to knead the dough and continuously knead the dough for 8-10 minutes. Knead it till it becomes very soft, so that it does not break while you are boiling.
  4. Now make small round balls and in the chashni prepared, add the balls. Now cover the pressure cooker withlid but do not close it. Leave a little space on the top. For five minutes, boil it on high flame till the size becomes double.
  5. Now from high, make the flame medium and let it cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. Take the rasgullas out in a bowl. Once they cool down , you can put in fridge and serve homemade rasgullas to your friends and family.
