Ingredients

  • CHOCOLATE CAKE : All purpose flour/ maida - 1 and 1/2 cups
  • Cocoa powder - 2 teaspoons
  • Sugar/ cheeni - 1 cup
  • Baking soda - 1 teaspoon
  • Pinch of salt/ namak
  • Hot water/ garam pani - 1 cup
  • Oil/ tel - 5 tablespoons
  • DRESSING : Dark Chocolate - 150 grams
  • Chocolate balls - 25-30
  • Coloured vermicelli/ sevai - 1 packet

Instructions

  1. Sieve your dry ingredients in a bowl. Mix ingredients in hot water or milk and beat it for 4-5 minutes.
  2. The batter is ready now. Take a cake tin/ pan and brush it with oil. Transfer the batter into cake tin.
  3. Place it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C and bake for 35-40 minutes.
  4. Check the cake now. It is done when you see brown color on the top or the toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Cool it on a rack for 10 minutes and then transfer to a plate.
  6. Melt the dark chocolate in double boiler or microwave for 4-5 minutes and then spread it on the cake and decorate with chocolate balls and vermicelli as per your creativity.
  7. Keep it in the freezer for 30-35 minutes.
  8. Eggless chocolate cake is ready to be served. Enjoy every bite with your loved ones.
