Dry Nuts Modak is a sweet recipe which is popular in North India. It is served in many festivals, mainly in Ganesh Chaturthi. The recipe takes no-cook time and is ready in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • Almonds - 15 chopped
  • Cashews - 15 chopped
  • Raisins - 1/2 cup
  • Dates/ khajur - 10
  • Fox nuts/ makhane - 1 bowl
  • Coconut powder - 1/2 bowl
  • Cardamom powder - half teaspoon
  • Saffron/ kesar - 10-12 strands
  • Condensed milk - 1 tin (200 gms)

Instructions

  1. Grind all the dry nuts in a grinder to make a dry paste.
  2. Take a bowl and add the above paste, coconut powder, cardamom powder, condensed milk, saffron strands and mix well with the help of a spoon. The paste needs to be smooth.
  3. Add the above mixture to the modak molds and press them with your hands. Take them out into a serving plate.
  4. Delicious and quick dry nuts modak is ready to be served.
