Ingredients

  • For Dhokla :
  • Gram flour - 1 Cup
  • Suji/semolina - 2 Tablespoon
  • Curd - 1 Cup
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fruit salt - 1 packet
  • For stuffing :
  • Boiled potatoes - 2 diced
  • Tomato - 1 chopped
  • Onion - 1 chopped
  • Coriander leaves - handful chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper powder - as per taste
  • Tamarind sauce - 2 Teaspoon
  • Pomegranate - as required
  • Roasted cumin seeds powder - as required
  • Chaat masala - as required

Instructions

  1. Mix gram flour, suji and curd into a bowl. Make a batter like a dhokla using water. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
  2. After 10 minutes, mix salt then add eno and mix gently.
  3. Put this batter into idly moulds and steam for 6 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, make stuffing. Chop potatoes, tomato, onion, coriander.
  5. Put all stuffing ingredients into a bowl and mix well.
  6. After 6 minutes de-mould the dhokla from idly moulds. Cut with heart-shaped cookie cutter.
  7. Cut this heart-shaped dhokla from the middle to make a heart shaped hole with a small cookie cutter.
  8. Arrange the dhokla hearts on a plate. Fill it with the potato mixture.
  9. Yummy 'Dhokla Hearts With Potato Chaat ' is ready to be served.
