Ingredients

  • FOR KATORI
  • Maida - 1 cup
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt to taste
  • FOR FIRST CHAAT LAYER
  • Fresh cream - 1/2 cup
  • Chopped cabbage - 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped carrots - 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped onion - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chopped coriander - 1/2 teaspoon
  • FOR SECOND CHAAT LAYER
  • Boiled sweet corn - 1/2 cup
  • Chat masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped green chilli - 1
  • FOR GARNISHING
  • Coriander leaves - 1 tablespoon
  • Cream - 1 tablespoon
  • Green chutney - 1 tablespoon
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Mix oil, salt and maida to make a soft dough.
  2. Divide this into 4 parts and roll them with the help of a rolling pin.
  3. Cut the dough into 1/4 inch strips. Grease a small bowl and cover it with maida strips.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and put the bowl in hot oil.
  5. When the katori is half cooked, take out from oil and remove the bowl. Again deep fry the katori until crispy or golden brown in color.
  6. Mix all the ingredients of the first layer and then the second layer separately.
  7. When the katori cools, put 1 tablespoon of the first layer.
  8. Follow with the second layer.
  9. Garnish with cream, green chutney and coriander leaves.
  10. Your delicious Corn Katori Chaat is ready to eat and enjoy!
