Ingredients

  • Milk/ doodh - 3 cups
  • Milk powder - 1 cup
  • Cornflour/ makai ka atta - 3 teaspoons
  • Cream/ malai - 1 cup
  • Sugar/ cheeni - 1 and 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla essence - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Coconut/ nariyal grated - 1/2 bowl

Instructions

  1. Heat milk in a pan for boiling. Meanwhile make a paste of milk, milk powder and corn flour.
  2. Add above paste to the milk and wait for a boil. Switch off the gas now.
  3. Dry roast coconut powder in a pan on medium flame till it changes its color to light brown.
  4. Add cream, sugar, vanilla essence and roasted coconut powder to the milk and mix well.
  5. Pour the above mix in ice cream tin and refrigerate for 4-7 hours.
  6. Delicious 'Coconut Ice Cream' is ready. Serve it chilled!
