Bhaji Vada – Lentil and Vegetable Fritters
Ingredients
- Chana Daal - 1 bowl ( soaked for 3 hours)
- Spinach - 1/2 bowl
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon grated
- Asafoetida/Hing - a pinch
- Oil - for frying
- Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Turmeric/Haldi - 1/2 teaspoon
- Onion - 1/2
Instructions
- Wash and soak chana dal for 2-3 hours.
- Coarsely grind the dal. Add chopped spinach, coriander powder, onion, grated garlic, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida and salt to the ground dal.
- Do not make a fine paste. Let it be coarse.
- Shape this mixture into round balls and flatten by lightly pressing using palm.
- Fry these fritters until golden brown .
- Serve hot for evening tea and enjoy.
- Enjoy yummy crispy and tasty Bhaji Vada.
