Today I have an interesting recipe of Sprouts Baked Bati. Sprouts stuffing is used in these batis. They are healthy as well as yummy to be served in meals.

Ingredients

  • FOR DOUGH - Atta/ wheat flour - 1/2 cup
  • Besan/ gram flour - 1/2 cup
  • Oil/ tel - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt/ namak to taste
  • FOR STUFFING - Sprouts/ moth - 1 cup
  • Chopped capsicum/ shimla mirch - 1/4 cup
  • Chopped tomato/ tamatar - 1/4 cup
  • Chopped ginger/ adarak and chilli/ hari mirch - 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped coriander leaves/ dhaniya patta - 2 tablespoon
  • Roasted jeera/ cumin powder, red chilli/ lal mirch powder, garam masala and salt/ namak according to taste
  • Lemon juice/ neembu ras - 1 tablespoon
  • Ghee - 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients of dough and make a dough like roti. Leave the dough for 1 hour.
  2. Crush the sprouts and mix all ingredients of stuffing.
  3. Divide the dough into 6 equal parts and make flat balls. Roll all balls using rolling pin making thick rotis.
  4. Put 1 tablespoon of stuffing at the center of the roti and cover from all the sides and then make stuffed balls from them.
  5. Put all the balls on a baking tray and bake it in preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 20-25 minutes or until golden in color. When baati is baked completely, spread ghee on all baatis.
  6. Healthy and yummy 'Baked Sprouts Bati' is ready to be served with chutney/ dal.
